Gaylyn Cole, REALTOR®
Gaylyn is excited to join Fickling and Company as she retires from a twenty-nine year teaching career in elementary education. Over the years, she taught at Windsor Academy and in the Monroe County school system, but spent her last thirteen years at Stratford Academy. A former basketball player in high school and college, Gaylyn also enjoyed coaching for many years.
Born in Forsyth to Jimmy and Jo Ann Lawson, Gaylyn is a lifelong resident of Middle Georgia who has resided full time in Monroe County since 2001. Her dad owned Lawson and Cromer Pharmacy on the square, and her mom was a realtor. Gaylyn is a graduate of Leadership Georgia and first held her real estate license in 2007. She also previously served on the Governor's Office for Children and Families Advisory board.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, Gaylyn went on to earn her Master's degree in Education. She and her husband are both actively involved in the community. Sports play a big part in her life as her husband, Jim, is the Director of Athletics at Mercer University. Their son, Lawson, is a sophomore on the Bears’ baseball team, while daughter Caroline just finished four years on the Mercer dance team and is entering her first year of law school.
Gaylyn’s work ethic and passion to help others is evident, and she looks forward to helping you with all of your real estate needs.
